LookMetric
LookMetric (“we”, “our”) operates the LookMetric mobile application and this website. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account: email, name, sign-in provider (Google/Apple), profile photo, phone, location (optional).
- Health profile: age, gender, lifestyle, optional health conditions and lab values you choose to provide.
- Scans: photos you upload for aura analysis and derived scores.
- Social: friends, chat messages, friend requests.
- Device: push notification tokens, app usage related to missions and notifications.
Face data
LookMetric collects face-related data only when you choose to take or upload a daily scan photo (and optionally a profile photo). We do not use face data for identity recognition, surveillance, or marketing.
- What we collect: a selfie image you provide; on your device we derive non-identifying measurements such as approximate face position, smile and eye-open likelihoods, head pose angles, and brightness-based glow estimates. These are converted into entertainment-style aura scores (e.g. glow, smile, energy, vibe).
- How we use it: to provide your daily aura result, show trends since your last scan, combine with your stored health profile for general wellness tips, and display your scan history to you. Face data is not used for medical diagnosis or treatment.
- On-device processing: initial face detection runs on your device using Google ML Kit. The selfie image and derived numeric results are then sent to our server over HTTPS to save your scan.
- Sharing: we do not sell face data. We do not share your daily scan photos or derived face measurements with other users. Service providers (hosting and Firebase authentication/messaging) may process account-related data under contract; scan photos are stored on our server, not with ad networks.
- Storage: scan images and derived data are stored on our servers at lookmetric.amritduwal.com.np while your account is active.
- Retention: we keep face data while your account is active. When you delete your account (in the app or via our account deletion page), we delete associated scan photos and derived data within a reasonable period. Backups may retain data for up to 30 days, then are purged.
How we use information
- Provide core app features (scans, missions, friends, chat).
- Personalize entertainment-style insights and suggestions.
- Send notifications you enable (missions, friends, reminders).
- Improve reliability and security of our service.
Not medical advice
LookMetric does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Content is for entertainment and general wellness motivation only.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers (e.g. hosting, Firebase authentication and messaging) to operate the app under appropriate agreements.
Retention
We keep data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete associated data within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention up to 30 days and legal obligations.

Children
LookMetric is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect their data.
